A brief synopsis of Jordi Bilbeny's Columbian Route

How to put into words the route we were on? It has been like a journey in the desert between the dark and bright dunes until we reach a river of crystal clear and very fresh waters where we have submerged and surprisingly we have understood everything.

The long and dark path of Spain hiding the history of Catalonia, for centuries, and suddenly we were looking at God.

What a strange world in reverse! What magnificent views we have had! How surprising! How exciting! There are times that words are not enough to describe what we have felt, seen, and believed.

We Catalans have been deceived, belittled, and humiliated for centuries, perhaps since 1285.

The truth is that what we have learned has been thanks to the incredible research work of the Nova Historia Institute by the hand of the magnificent Jordi Bilbeny, whom I have no words to say. and express my gratitude and deepest admiration.

How can I explain what we have seen? An enigma within an enigma, a light hidden behind the black darkness of the Spanish Inquisition, a mystery explained behind a shadow, a shield, a flag, a prince's clothing, an Armor and the mountain of Montserrat.

And always the sea, the sea with its calm and stormy waters, and the sublime, the beautiful Virgin of the Sea.

Una breu sinopsi de la Ruta Colombina d'En Jordi Bilbeny

Com posar en paraules la ruta que hem fet? Ha estat com un viatge pel desert entre les dunes fosques i brillants fins arribar a un riu d’aigües cristal·lines i molt dolces, on ens hi hem submergit i, sorprenentment, ho hem entès tot.

El llarg i fosc camí d’Espanya que ha amagat la història de Catalunya durant segles era com si de sobte miréssim Déu.

Quin món estrany, quin món al revés! Quines magnífiques vistes hem tingut, que sorprenent i emocionant! Hi ha vegades que les paraules no són suficients per descriure allò que s'ha sentit, vist i cregut.

Els catalans hem estat enganyats, menystinguts i humiliats durant segles, potser des del 1285.

La veritat és que allò que hem après ha estat posible gràcies a la increïble tasca de recerca de l'Institut Nova Història i de la mà del magnífic Jordi Bilbeny, a qui no tinc paraules per dir i expressar el meu agraïment i la meva més profunda admiració.

Com puc explicar el que hem vist? Un enigma dins d’un enigma, una llum amagada darrere de la foscor negra de la Inquisició espanyola, un misteri explicat darrere d’una ombra, un escut, una bandera, la roba d’un príncep, una armadura i la muntanya de Montserrat.

I sempre el mar, el mar amb les seves aigües tranquil·les i tempestuoses, i amb la sublim, la bellisima Mare de Déu del Mar.
